My Thrifty Target Trip – Week of 7/5/09

Today was a pretty good savings day at my local Target. If you’re on the fence about couponing or just don’t think you can save that much money by paying attention to your store ads and clipping coupons, then maybe today’s shopping trip will change your mind. Here is what I bought:

Special K Items

• Special K Crackers @ $2.89
• 2 Special K Bars @ $2.54 ea.
• Used 2 $1/1 Special K items + a coupon for FREE Special K Crackers wyb 2 other Special K items
• Paid $3.08 oop for all 3 items

Kashi Items

• 2 boxes Kashi Cookies @ $2.50 ea
• Used 2 $1.50/1
• Used $1/1 Target coupon
• Paid $1 oop for both

• 1 box of Kashi Go Lean (GL) Cereal @ $2.66
• 1 box of Kashi Heart to Heart (H2H) Cereal @ $2.66
• Used 1 $1.50/1 coupons
• Used 1 $.50/1 Target coupon (for the GL)
• Used 1 BOGO Target coupon (for the H2H)
• Paid $.66 oop for both

• 2 Kashi Trail Mix Bars @ $2.50
• Used 2 $1.50/1 Kashi coupons
• Used $1/2 Target coupon
• Paid $1 oop for both

Grand total before coupons = $23.29
Grand total coupons = $12
Grand total free items = $5.55

Grand total oop = $5.74 (plus tax of course) for all 9 items.

With a savings of 75.355% I’m swimmingly happy!
